the object of my puppy love -- from day 2 and on.
she's been to poetry readings, concerts, art openings, mural parties, a big ole leather street fair [she's in a bag -- look closely], a coupla bars, two beaches, and one mountain. she's bathed in the "champagne" springs near ukiah [i took a bottle of it and doused her with it].
one of her best friends is a brain-damaged doggie named astro [we love astro!], and she hangs out with all the shelter cats and dogs [the cats watch her run back and forth like it was a tennis match].
her name comes from satchmo's favorite beach in point reyes. someday, if i'm really really good, i'll get to go to the big kehoe beach in the sky. she's also named for my generation [kee] and the next generation [ho].
satchmo taught me how deep love can run, kehoe is teaching me that my heart has more room than i'd realized.
