fending off heartbreak
had lovely walkies with kehoe at fort fun (on sunday) -- she's not her usual independent self at the beach -- she stays fairly close, and trips over my feet as a i walk along the sand.

when new things surprise her -- seagulls flying just beyond her, jellyfish stranded on the beach -- she looks back at me with such wonder and delight, that i remember why it is that i love dogs.

she's now sweetly sleeping after a evening of bbq, people and dogs.
