wha'ppened?
trying out a new keyboard at werk, and a bit befuddled by it. not sure yet if it helps or hinders in the ongoing battle against RSI.

thing's've been crazy in this most recent bit of time. we're at war, there were birthdays, and look, more war.

sary and i had our birthdays (3000 miles apart, but still). dees put together the coolest treasure hunt ever (better'n than cnyth, which is no small feat), so i got to trawl around my neighborhood, and generally have a whole lotta nonsense amongst friends.

speaking of dees, she's still continents away, checking in on her dad's knees (he's undergoing some surgery...), and hopefully getting her fill of rain. i managed to stop moping long enough to have a little weekend o'machismo -- boogie boarding on the beach BOTH days, and poker and booze at my local bar (also BOTH nights...). the dogs are both exhausted and fairly content, and i'm much more serene about all the fog that's blowing in.

so despite the surreal times we're in, once in awhile i've been feeling like i'm settling into my skin a little better.
