high gravity
Worlds are altered rather than destroyed. -Democritus
feeling heavy today. lighter than the past few days. puttering this morning helped somehow. as did just getting up in the morning. sometimes that's all i can do -- just go to bed and know/hope/trust that there will be some ease that comes with morning.
some of it is just the usual run-down-pms post-crazy-work-week(s) decompression. but there's a little bit of it that i can't shake. it's been awhile since i've been this down, so just going with it, and letting it in. not that i have so much choice in the matter.
trying to remember that feeling things is usually a good thing. also just the end of summer and the beginning of the long descent into the harried holiday season. not looking forward to that this year. summer was a good hectic mix. the fog that i've been wrapped in has lifted -- almost imperceptibly, but i think it's a good sign.
guess i just have to sit with it until it becomes clearer. and really, it's a good kinda sadness. really.

asian tattoo, anyone?
hanzismatter.com is brilliant. proof once again that if you're thinking of getting a tattoo on your body, you should probably be able to read it yourself...
and if you liked that -- check out engrish.com and this cool binary encoding/decoding thingamajing.

domokun!
new obsession...shoppping shopping fun this weekend got the domokun hoodie i'd been wanting for months [always hafta obsess a bit b4 committing enough to buying something].
here's a bit on domokun [...who i keep mistyping as homokun...that would be a funny character!]:
DOMO is a strange creature born from an egg. One day he fell into Usajii's house, the old rabbit likes TV. After that he began to love watching TV. He is gentle and strong. When he is in a bad mood, he breaks wind.
also hit up ikea and [finally] got a dresser, some furniture and grownup sheets and stuff...one step closer to [finally finally] getting rid o' all those boxes... ...
novice novice
this weekend was also the last weekend of my first season with sfocc. gorgeous racing in sausalito at tam occ's kula 'anela hoe wa'a. nice water, gorgeous views, and tocc's famous love punch!
of course, there's always more paddling [newbie practice saturday, oct 1st at 11am -- lemme know if yer interested -- it's a great way to check it out with no commitment necessary...], but i'm looking forward to a little bit of a break.
